Västerås (SE)

The City of Västerås has 140 000 inhabitants and is situated west of Stockholm. It is by tradition an industrial center, but has developed a significant service sector during the last fifty years. The city cooperates with the business community and the Higher education institution of the region. The services for Leisure and Preventative work and the Upper secondary schools are active in this project together with young people.
The project Voices of youth is expected to provide the services of the city with support to develop skills, methods and structures to work around participation and communication with young people. The city has a lot of exciting and innovative projects to show but also a lot to learn from others.
